Last week Valore D was in Brussels for the first edition of the European Women on Boards C-Level School, dedicated to 36 women from 9 European countries: this is the first of 3 training events that will continue in Prague in October and end again in Brussels at the end of November.

The EWOB C-Level School is a project funded by the European Commission that aims to develop women leaders and has been structured thanks to the expertise of Valore D, long time member of the EWoB board. 36 high-level professionals have been selected, 5 of whom are Italian, identified through the Valore D network and selected by an international selection board: these are Simonetta Acri from Sace, Giulia Costagli from Rfi, Francesca Colombo from Coima, Giulia Poli from Amazon and Lina Jukneviciute from PwC, women who are already part of the C- Suite and could hold positions on the boards. A great strength of the training is the international networking, which promotes the sharing among women in executive positions from 9 different European countries.

The programme of the first edition opened on 26th September with a networking evening in Brussels, followed by a day dedicated to training on the most current challenges for companies. We discussed how artificial intelligence is affecting the way we work, the role of big data and much more. The presentation of case studies opened the discussion on the impact of these changes on individual organisations.

Under the motto "Join the change", training has been provided by international entrepreneurs and business experts from very diverse backgrounds such as technology, digital strategy and human resources. It will focus on improving participants' skills (governance, strategy, leadership) to enable them to prepare for high-level roles in the new digital age and to lead organisations through digital transformation and inclusive leadership.

Opening of Day 1 was done through the Valore D board member, Cristina Catania of McKinsey & Company, also a partner company of the C-Level School in Italy, and followed by speeches on Digital Disruption by 4 top speakers, including Tommaso Jacopo Ulissi, partner of McKinsey & Company.
